2. Hosting and website access
Our static HTML website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technical access information to deliver the content and maintain a secure, reliable service.
According to IONOS's information for its Web Hosting product, the data collected include the requested page or file, access time, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring page and IP address anonymised at the point of collection. IONOS states a retention period of eight weeks for these web hosting data and also performs website analytics based on such technical information.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure, reliable and functional website). Further information: IONOS: data processing by Web Hosting products.
3. Enquiries and email communication
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide and the content of your enquiry in order to respond. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
The contact form on this website does not send form data to our web server. Instead, it opens your own email application with a pre-filled message. The message is sent only if you choose to send it from your email application.
We use Microsoft 365 / Outlook for business email communication. Email data may be processed by service providers acting as processors; depending on the configuration, international transfers may occur and must be governed by the applicable data protection requirements and safeguards. We delete enquiry information when no longer needed for its purpose, unless applicable legal retention obligations require otherwise.
4. Cookies, analytics and external content
The new PIRON website does not itself set analytics or marketing cookies and does not embed externally loaded advertising, social-media or video plugins. Fonts, images, graphics and scripts are served from our website environment. Hosting-related analytics carried out by IONOS are described under section 2.
If we introduce additional services, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required by law before using them.
5. Secure transmission
Our public website uses HTTPS with TLS encryption. Please bear in mind that, despite technical safeguards, email communication cannot be guaranteed to be completely free of security risks.
6. Recipients and retention
Personal data are accessible only to recipients who need them for the purposes described here, including our hosting and communications service providers. Other disclosures occur only where required by law or permitted by another legal basis. Retention depends on the purpose of processing and applicable statutory retention requirements. The hosting retention period is described under section 2.
7. Your rights
Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
